Bishop Stephen as our new bishop has organised his first clergy moves to meet the needs of the diocese. 

Fr Luke has been asked to move to St John XXIII Parish in Washington and Penshaw. His time with us has been greatly appreciated since September 2021, as we have built up our communities after the effects of the covid pandemic. Fr Luke’s enthusiasm to develop a prayerful knowledge and love of our Faith has had an enormous impact. We thank him for this.

Fr Paul Kilduff, a newly ordained priest for our diocese will join us next month. I know we will make him feel very welcome and look forward to him sharing the gift of the priesthood with us.

We pray for all our parishes both here in Northumberland, and in Washington and Penshaw.

May God bring to fulfilment the good work he has begun in us.
