Galilee Talks

What are the Galilee Talks?

The Galilee Talks are a series of discussions about life and faith that take place in St Mary's Centre on occasional Saturdays throughout the year.


Galilee Talks 2017-2018

The next season of Galilee Talks begins on Saturday 30th September 2017, when our Permanent Deacon, Reverend Martin Bell will deliver a talk on "Prayer: what's the point?".

This will be followed by a further five talks:

  • Saturday 28th October 2017 - Jan Dekkers "3 Parent Babies".
  • Saturday 25th November 2017 - Dr. Stefano Cracolicci "Nativity Scenes: a live performance".
  • Saturday 27th January 2018 - Sr. Gemma Simmonds will make a return visit.
  • Saturday 10th February 2018 - Max Winthrop and Joan Peugniez will deliver a talk entitled "Reformation 500".
  • Saturday 3rd March 2018 - Reverend David Collins "The Deacon in the Church - Past, Present and Future?"

In each case, refreshments will be available from 10:30am, with the talk itself starting at 11:00am.
