Giving gifts and skills for the benefit of the whole parish

Volunteer roles at the Church

Members of the parish are active and generous in giving of their gifts and skills for the benefit of the whole parish. There are around 40 different active ministries of the laity in the Parish, ranging from altar servers, cleaners, flower arrangers etc., through to children’s liturgy, Catechists, musicians, youth leaders and extraordinary minsters of the Eucharist.

The Lay Camillian Family

A group of men and women from the Hexham and Corbridge area of our Parish, who are touched by the Charism (Spirituality) of St. Camillus and the work he is patron of – Caring for the Sick and the Dying.

We are involved with visitations to those people in their private homes, Residential and Nursing Homes and Hospitals in the area.

Saint Vincent de Paul

Saint Mary's parish has a small but strong Saint Vincent de Paul (SVP) section.

The main roles of the SVP section are visits and assistance. If you know of anyone who would benefit from the help of the SVP section, please forward their contact information and details to any member of the SVP group, or pass on this information to the Parish Office (01434 603119 or admin@stmaryshexham.org.uk).
