'Every cloud has a silver lining', as they say, and that cloud which has been hanging over us for some months now showed its silver lining on Saturday afternoon, 15th August, when an open-air Mass to celebrate the Feast of The Assumption was held in the beautiful grounds of Saint John of Beverley Church, Haydon Bridge. Our Parish Priest, Fr. Christopher Warren presided at this Mass, which, due to the recent lockdown period and associated restrictions, was the first to be held at Saint John's since mid-March.
The Mass was very well attended, with people travelling from all of Fr. Christopher's parishes, as well as visitors, some of whom came from as far afield as Alnwick. It was indeed a wonderful celebration, not only of our faith but also of our love and friendships throughout our parishes and beyond.
