Welcome to Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Parish Hexham
Saint Mary's Parish is a large, lively and welcoming community serving a wide geographic area in and around Hexham in Northumberland, England. It is part of the Northumberland Vicariate which stretches from Berwick in the north to Hexham and Haltwhistle in the south and west. More locally, St. Mary's is part of the Heavenfield Partnership of Catholic Parishes, together with St. Wilfrid's at Haltwhistle, St. John of Beverley at Haydon Bridge, St. Peter's at Otterburn, St. Oswald's at Bellingham and St. Elizabeth's at Minsteracres. Our wider Roman Catholic family is the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle, led by Bishop Robert Byrne Cong Orat.
Our Parish Priest, Fr. Christopher Warren, has been with us since 2011, and together with our Assistant Priest, Fr. Jim Dunne and our Permanent Deacon, Reverend Martin Bell, works collaboratively with the People of God in this place.
We hope that this website will bring together all who attend our church and be of help to the many visitors we warmly welcome to the parish.
